Orval Leroy Hahn--Leoti

(May 30, 1923 - January 10, 2011)


Orval Leroy Hahn, age 87, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Wichita County Long Term Care Center in Leoti, Kansas. Orval was born May 30, 1923 in Leoti, Kansas, the son of August & Laura Mae Downs Hahn, Jr. A lifetime resident of Leoti, he was a farmer and was a retired agriculture specialist for Collingwood Inc.

Orval was a member of the First Baptist Church, Leoti Lion’s Club both of Leoti, Kansas as well as serving as a board member of the Wichita County Senior Citizens Center and Wichita County 4-H for many years.

On December 13, 1941 Orval married Lucille Marie Farnsworth at Ringwood, Oklahoma. She passed away on October 29, 2006 at Tribune, Kansas.

Orval’s surviving family includes- Two sons and their wives- Jerry & Pamella Hahn- Farmers Branch, Texas Jimmy & Pam Hahn- Leoti, Kansas One sister and her husband- Dorothy & Merle Bishop- Leoti, Kansas Four Grandchildren and Nine great grandchildren His parents, his wife, one brother, Dallas Hahn, and one sister, Lois Gardner preceded him in death.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Leoti, Kansas with the Reverend Gary Salmans officiating.

Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.

Friends may call from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Thursday and Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church or the Wichita County Long Term Care Center in care of the funeral home.
