Local Farmers

Our economy is tough on just about everyone now. One industry that has been under distress for several years is our farming. In addition to other problems, the high cost of fuel has just been devastating for our farmers who need it in order to operate their machinery, etc.

Even though that is the case, a bunch of our local farmers volunteered their own tractors, their time and their own fuel to help dig Leoti out and to help clear country roads. This is just plain extraordinary and the people of Wichita County thank you for all that you did to help get us moving again! This is by far NOT the first time these people have come to our rescue! They come out whenever we have heavy snow and are bogged down. They are true heroes.
