I just spoke with an employee of our post office about whether or not rural route customers need to pick our mail up at the post office now until country roads are in better shape. I was told that the mail carriers are going to try to deliver the mail today. However, they are not to go down roads that look dangerous. I TOTALLY understand and agree with this. If you would prefer that the carrier leave your mail at the post office so that you can pick it up, that is fine. For more information, please call 620.375.2813.
I am anticipating that our roads will be a mess for a long time to come. Right now, we are dealing wiht lots of snow. After it begins melting, we'll be dealing with lots of mud. The good thing is that we need all of the moisture that we can get.
