Tonja L. Wheeler--Scott City

Tonja L. Wheeler was born on August 2nd, 1959 to Hampton (Hank) and Lynda Roush Burnett. She passed away on Wednesday, November 11th, 2009 at the age of 50 at Via Christy Regional Medical Center -St. Francis in Wichita. She was a waitress at Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant in Scott City.

On July 19, 1993 she married Mike Wheeler at Fort Riley, Kansas. He survives along with 1 daughter, Shantel N. Burnett-Wheeler, 3 sons, Joshua Burnett of Scott City, Kori Andrew Wheeler of Ohio, Joseph D. Wheeler of Afghanistan, her mother of Scott City, her father-in-law and mother-in-law of Fairborn, Ohio, two brothers, Woodrow and Michael, both of Garden City and two sisters, Ramona Hoffner and Tracey Cordova, both of Holyoke, Colorado.

Funeral services will be at the First Christian Church in Scott City on Saturday, November 14th. Interment will be at Scott County Cemetary.

Instead of sending flowers, the family suggests that memorials be given to the Tonja L. Wheeler Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home of Scott City.
