Peter Dye Dolan

Peter was born on April 27th, 1942 and died on Saturday, November 14th, 2009 at his home in Leoti. He was 67-years-old. He was born in Rutland, Vermont and graduated from Bryant College in Providence, Rhode Island. He was a former furniture store employee and a short order cook. He was a Leoti resident since 2000.

He is survived by a sister, Sister Patricia Dolan, of Rutland, VT. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in Rutledge, VT.

On a personal note, people who knew Pete really enjoyed him. Alot of people knew him from the VFW where he was a great chef. He was forced into retirement because of severe diabetes which resulted in the amputation of his legs. He will be missed.

  1. HE WILL BE MISS I SEEN HIM WHEN I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL ABOUT A YEAR AGO HERE IN LEOTI HOSP. STOP BY AND SEEN ME AND VISIT ME. HE'S ALWAYS BEEN FRIENDLY AND VERY RESEPECTFUL TO ME.WHEN I WORK AT HIPLAINS AS A WAITRESS HE ALWAYS CAME TO MY TABLES I TREATE DHIM NICE AND RESEPECT ALWAYS LEFT ME A VERY NICE TIP BECAUSE OF ME BEING SO NICE. I WOULD HELP HIM WHEN NO ONE ELSE THERE. I REMEMEBER HIS COOKING HE ALWAYS DID ME RIGHT. U WILL BE MISS PETE. I NOT KNOW IT WAS HIM THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT TO TODAY. GOD IS WITH YOU NOW. BETH TURLEY

    I am very happy that you were so good to him, Beth! Sometimes, people have no idea just what a warm smile or pat on the back actually makes to others. It is VITALLY important that we share love and sunshine with everyone, everday.
