Lori is doing better. More test results came in yesterday. At least one surgery is in her near future. Her battle has just begun with another culprit that was just discovered. She'll do just fine with all of the prayers that are being sent for her!
At this time, we still do not know when she will be released to come home. She will be meeting with specialists in Wichita next week. It is entirely possible that she will not be allowed to come home until after that.
Good news! Her IV nutrients went to getting to "eat" liquids yesterday. Her lunch consisted of broth, fruit juice and a few squares of jello. Nothing really tasted good to her. As time goes by, she will move to soft foods and then eventually to normal foods.
She is able to move around more now and sit in chairs longer than before. That should alleviate her pneumonia in no time. Many bedridden people face problems with pneumonia.
