Just spoke with some people today who told me that they are having to fight to keep rats out of their home and garage. Folks, I mean RATS--not mice. They told me that they are not alone. Without telling you who these people are, I will tell you that they live somewhere in the southwest corner of Leoti. Rats have been living in the fields close to them but are trying to move indoors now. I would ASSUME that that is another sign for the winter yet to come.
So far, rat traps have been set out.
If you are also plagued with these nasty varments, I recommend that you contact the City of Leoti Office at 375-2341.
Rats are very dangerous pests. They spread disease wherever they go and can carry rabies.
