Have you been by the new school domes lately? Progress is definitely being made. Walls are now going up. From the street, it looks like about all that is missing is the sheet rock. New windows which have been constructed to look like the former junior high's windows are now in place in the former vo-ag building. They really look sharp! Most of the work being done now seems to be on the interior which is a good deal considering the fact that the Western Kansas winter is not far in our future. (Thank goodness!!! I am sick and tired, LITERALLY, of this heat!!!)
A concrete walkway has now been poured that allows students to get from the high school to the lunchroom in the junior high building. I am unclear on this but as I remember, the dome that is on the east side of the junior high block will house the new gym and another lunchroom which will be seperated from the original lunchroom by the kitchen.
Anyway, sometime when you are out and about, take a gander at the building project. It is very interesting. According to our school calendar, plans are made that the three moving days will be on May 23rd, 24th and 25th.
