Karen Sue Morrison, age 49, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Greeley County Health Center in Tribune, Kansas. Karen was born December 11, 1961 at Tribune, Kansas, the daughter of Gordon Dean & Marjorie Ellen Herring Hornbaker. She had been serving as Deputy Clerk of the District Court in Greeley County, Kansas and had been a lifetime resident of Greeley County.
Karen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tribune, Kansas and was active on the First Baptist Church Funeral Dinner Committee.
On September 22, 1984 she married James Michael Morrison at Colby, Kansas. He passed away on April 4, 1986 at Denver, Colorado.
Karen’s surviving family includes One son- James Eric Morrison- Fullerton, California Her Mother- Marjorie Hornbaker- Tribune, Kansas And a multitude of extended family and friends. Her father, Dean Hornbaker, preceded her in death on May 1, 1997 at Denver, Colorado.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. ( M.S.T.) Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Tribune, Kansas, with the Reverend Mark Randolph officiating.
Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas.
Memorials may be written to the First Baptist Church or Greeley County Health Center in care of the funeral home.
