One of our daughters was involved in a church meeting at one of the churches in the country yesterday. I was not feeling well and opted to stay at home while Stan took her to church. About 20 minutes after they left, they called to let me know that our van was stuck in the mud and was not going anywhere. Fortunately, John Niswonger came to their rescue. He pulled our van out and then he took our daughter to church. He also recommended that Stan come down the Selkirk Road when he returned in a couple of hours to pick Leighlyn up.
When Stan was getting out of the van to help John, he slid in the mud and hurt himself. For the rest of the evening, he limped around but returned to work this morning.
Once Stan returned home from being stuck, we took the van right to the carwash. Our white van was more black than anything else. Thank goodness for power washers! LOL!!! Several dollars later, the white had returned. All seemed to be well. That was until we needed to head back out to pick Leighlyn up. As our van sped up, we noticed a great deal of vibration and noise that have never been a problem before. Stan thinks that we probably have a lot of mud inside our wheels that he was not able to get to at the carwash. He plans on working on them today or tomorrow.
John was right about telling us to come down Selkirk Road. It was a breeze.
Bottom line here, many areas in our county have received over 8 inches of rain since October began. Consequently, some roads are a bit nasty. Be careful out there!
Thank you, John!!!
