Dennis' planned surgery went well yesterday, Friday, Sept 4th. Later in the day, his blood pressure and blood counts dropped. He was taken back into surgery to find and repair the blood leaks in his chest cavity. Once inside, the doctor found some blood clots from the first surgery. She promptly removed them and cleaned everything up. These blood clots happen alot in this particular operation. Since then, his vitals have returned to normal. Some pieces of his esophagus were sent to the pathologist for biopsies, etc. Those results should be to the doctor on Monday or Tuesday. The doctor and Susan are pleased with how Dennis is looking and doing now. He is also receiving extra plasma and calcium right now.
Dennis and Susan are VERY grateful to the people who are taking time out of their busy schedules to call, text, email or send cards to them. Those signs of love and support really help make their days much happier. I have their cellphone number but do not want to put it out without permission of them. I will give you their email address:
Dennis and Susan are able to receive your email in Dennis' hospital room so that they can both share them.
You can send your letters, cards, etc. to Dennis at the following address:
