Sunflower Electric in Garden City announced today that because of our extreme cold as of late, they are having difficulty generating enough electricity. Therefore, they are asking that anyone who receives electricity through them, please cut back any unnecessary electricity usage as possible today. If your electricity company is Wheatland Electric, Lane-Scott, etc., you are one of the people who are asked to cut back.
Turn off any lights, lamps, TVs, stereos etc that do not need to be on right now. If possible, do your laundry tomorrow or over the weekend. Every little bit helps.
