We awakened this morning to the sound of the much needed and much appreciated rain. Most people in Western Kansas will be thrilled to get it. Our wheat is not in very good shape at all. For many of us in Leoti, we are trying to conserve water so we have not been watering our lawn and gardens like we have in the past. Because of that, they don't look like they normally do this time of year. After we get this moisture, I predict that the grassland will really green up.
I have no idea how much we have gotten so far. It is really wet out there but our rainguage bought the bullet--literally--last year. Actually, it was not shot with a bullet but with a BB. LOL!
