KSA Results For Wichita County's RBSES

We receive these publications via email from Great Schools, Inc which is a national nonprofit organization that leads parents to guide their children to be the best students possible. This is the 3rd or 4th time in the past couple of years that G.S.I. has sent out reports of how our local grade school students are doing. When you read through this, you should be quite impressed with our students' performances. This says a lot about our teachers in Wichita County. I will try to locate the information on how Wichita County stacks up against other area schools. Anyway, our students and teachers deserve a pat on the back!

About the Tests

In 2007-2008 Kansas used the Kansas State Assessments (KSA) to test students in grades 3 though 8 and 11 in reading and math; in grades 4, 7 and 11 in science; and in grades 6, 8 and 11 in history-government.
The tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Kansas.

The different student groups are identified by the Kansas State Department of Education. If there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
