Larry K. Geist, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on February 18, 1943 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of Leland Clarence and Leila Louise Wade Geist. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 2009 moving from Sabeta, Kansas, he was an Electrical Lineman.
Memberships include the First Christian Church of Scott City, Kansas and IBEW, L.U. 111.
Survivors include his Three Sons - Kent Geist of Scott City, Kansas, Jeff Geist of Louisville, Colorado, Brian Geist of Wichita, Kansas, Four Brothers - Jack Geist of Denver, Colorado, Frank Geist of Wichita, Kansas, Don Geist of Scott City, Kansas, Steve Geist of Moore, Oklahoma, Six Sisters - LuJuana Baker of Garden City, Kansas, Linda Foster of Kiowa, Kansas, Cheryl Keyse of Scott City, Kansas, Vickie Wheeler of Amarillo, Texas, Jane Gullett of Hattiesville, Arkansas, Five Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by his Parents, Four Brothers – Robert, Eugene, Randall and Michael Geist, and Three Sisters - Sheila Grey, Juanita Sooby and Marie Bishop.
Funeral Services will be held at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011, with Garee Geist presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Special Olympics in memory of his brother Randall Geist % Price & Sons Funeral Homes.
Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday.
