I am happy to report that both of our local convenience stores have dropped their prices on fuel again. One dropped the price on unleaded gas to $3.51 per gallon! It has been a long time since we've seen prices on fuel toppling down so quickly. Not long ago, people in Wichita County were paying $3.89 plus per gallon. Some people had actually been paying a full $4.00 for their gas. I am positive that our farmers who are in harvest right now, are happy to see the price reduction.
I've been told that fuel prices in Eastern Kansas are lower than they are in Western Kansas.
Lets just hope that this trend continues. The price of automobile fuel will mean the difference between some families going on vacation or staying home this summer.
