Vacation Bible School

Bible School was held from Monday through today. There was a great turnout for it. The total number of kids from preschool age through 6th grade was 120. The least amount of kids to show up for one day was 102. The highest number was 109 for a different day. This year's topic was Panda Mania. The kids thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Jesus Christ and that no matter where we are or what we are doing, God is watching over each and every one of us. They were shocked to find out that even if each and every person on earth today, decided to pray to God at the exact same time, He would hear each and every word. It is totally dumbfounding that that is a reality...

This year was like many years before. Michelle Shepherd was the coordinator. She did a great job as usual. So did all of the parents, etc who volunteered to help.

Students were asked to donate pennies each day. (Unfortunately, my Abigayle forgot to tell us.) When all of the pennies were counted up, there was over $400.00 which was donated to a ministry to support victims of floods, tsunamis, earthquakes, tornados, etc.

At 11:30 this morning, anyone interested was allowed to watch the musical program that the kids put on for us. Many of us were in agreement that this was absolutely the best program so far!

I hope that there will be as good of a turnout next year as we had this year. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and talents to this!!!
