Robert V. Mulch--Scott City

Robert V. Mulch, age 70, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011, at the Scott County Hospital. He was born May 22, 1941, at Scott City, Kansas, the son of Vernon and Atha (Miller) Mulch. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he served the Scott City community for 20 years as the Municipal Judge.

He was a 1959 graduate of Scott Community High School, Scott City, KS. He initially attended Fort Hays State University for two years and then Washburn University for two years graduating in 1963 with a political science degree. He then went on to attend Washburn University Law School and graduated with his law degree in 1966. After college he was employed by the U.S. State Department and traveled the world visiting 35 countries. He was an Eagle Scout involved with scouting his entire live. He also served as the President of the Kansas Rural Center. He was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church, Scott City.

On July 4, 1981, he married Glenda Ann Roderick in Wichita, Kansas. She passed away on November 7, 1998 in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors include: one daughter, Aimee Wilson and husband Kevin, Wichita, KS; three sons, Jason Biggs, Enid, OK, Morgan Mulch and wife Becky, Denver, CO, Evan Mulch and wife Jennifer, Cincinnati, OH; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and grandson Devin Wilson.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dennis Carter officiating.

Memorials may be given to the Scott Community Foundation in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
