Devil's Dip

Our daughter-in-law, Mel, is from the very southern tip of Texas. She has only lived in Kansas for a little over 3 years. Mel had never heard much about the dip, let alone traveled over it. So last night after we had eaten our fried chicken dinner, she braved it with Adam, Leighlyn and I. It was almost 9:00 before we headed there. By that time, it was really getting dark. We learned a big lesson about that. DON'T DO IT THAT LATE IN THE EVENING!!! We had gone up and down it one time with no problems. Everyone loved it so I turned around and tried it again. This time, halfway down the hill, a deer jumped out in front of us. That was S-C-A-R-Y!!! Fortunately, he was fast and got out of our way quickly. So, from now on, we will only be going out when there is plenty of sunshine. LOL!!!
