Though our winter storm was supposed to have started on Monday, we did not receve anything until early Tuesday morning when drizzle appeared. During the morning we had some gorgeous wet snow fall to the ground. There was a lot of snow but, for the most part, it melted as soon as it hit the ground. Later in the afternoon, the sun came out and what little snow had hit the ground melted. We checked our rain guage yesterday afternoon. It showed that we had gotten a total of 1" of moisture. Fantastic! As you know, Western Kansas needs all of the moisture that we can get.
