By now, you know that I just love letting you know of new products that are just hitting the American markets. Well, here is another one! Purex (the Dial Company) has just introduced their newest fabric softener and it is a treat! It's ingredients are 92% all-natural. I did some research and discovered that the crystals are composed of sugar and clay with fragrance added. There are 3 or 4 available fragrences to choose from. We chose the Lavender Blossom (purple bottle) and Fresh Spring Waters(blue bottle).
This is NOT a liquid. All washing machines, including high-efficiency models, can use this new product BUT you DO NOT put it your machine's fabric softener dispenser. You pour out the small amount of crystals into the measuring lid that is included with each bottle of fabric softener. Pour it directly into your top or front-loading machine BEFORE you add your dirty laundry. Pour the laundry soap into your washing machine as directed on the soap bottle. Set your machine on whatever cycle you want. Once the wash and rinse cycle has been completed, place your freshly washed laundry into your dryer or where ever else you dry your laundry.
Your laundry comes out smelling fresh and clean. The long-lasting freshness lasts longer than many ordinary fabric softeners.
The bottles of this that we found at Wal-Mart hold 28 ounces of the crystals which will soften and freshen up to 32 loads of laundry. We used it for the first time today. We are very impressed with how well this softener works.

Have you had any trouble with residue or gunk building up in your machine? I read a post somewhere where people were freaking out at the ingredients. Just wondered if you'd noticed anything like that. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo far, we have had absolutely no problems with it. I've talked to several others who also use it. They love it also. The main ingredients are sugar, clay and some fragrance. I can see where someone might think that it would gum up. Since we have the front loading Hi-Efficiency machines, we routinely clean it with a Tide product processed to clean these washing machines. I think that it probably takes care of any gumming.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the question!
