Yesterday, the folks at Modoc Miracles brought their new plants to town and planted them. Gone are last year's skeletal plants' remains. The new plants are just beautiful! In case you want to know who purchases these delights, it is the City of Leoti. I, for one, am very pleased with how Main Street looks now with the trees that were planted several years ago and the brick planters.
Employees of the City of Leoti will water these plants every week throughout the summer. Many businesses that have a planter in front of their store also provide water on very hot and/or windy days.
I must admit that my favorite planter is the one that stands in front of the Farm Bureau Insurance Agency. For the past few years, Sherri (Brack) Zellner has planted a gorgeous lime green vine that ends up "walking" all over the sidewalk there. I believe that it is a Sweet Potato Vine. Ask Sherri about it. She'll tell you if I am right or if I am wrong. LOL!
I would like to thank the City of Leoti for providing these colorful touches to our Main Street!!! They really make a difference!!!
