Marvin Everett Green, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on December 29, 1931 in Lakin, Kansas the son of Everett Anderson and Winsome Adele Hart Green A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 2007 moving from Garden City, Kansas, he owned and operated Central States Construction, Inc. which dealt in highway construction. He also owned and operated Central Equipment Company specializing in construction and irrigation equipment.
He was a member of the Methodist faith and was a Decorated US Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He also belonged to the Elks Lodge and the American Legion both of Garden City, Kansas.
On January 1, 1949 he married Royann R. Yount in Amarillo, Texas. She survives.
Other Survivors Include: Two Sons, Donald W. Green of Garden City, Kansas and Everett M. (& Kristi) Green of Scott City, Kansas; One Daughter, Loretta A. Alfrey of Edmond, Oklahoma; Two Sisters, Lois Humphreys of Newport Beach, California and Wanda Jo Craig of Garden City, Kansas; One Grandson, Christopher Green of Scott City, Kansas; Three Granddaughters, Jessica Alfrey-Horne of Corona Del Mar, California, Brooke Alfrey of Edmond, Oklahoma and Lila Nicole Green of Scott City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his Parents, A Brother, Clyde Green and Two Sisters, Winona Breitkreutz and Lola Norton.
