Orlin G. Holland, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on November 29, 1929 in Hartley, Iowa, the son of Joseph & Ruth Baumeister Holland. A resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1969 moving from Minnesota, he was a retired realtor in Garden City, Kansas.
His memberships include the St. Dominic Catholic Church, ELKS Lodge #1404, and the American Legion all of Garden City, Kansas. He was also a member of the Realtors Association and was a US Army Signal Core Veteran of Korean Confliict.
On May 20, 1961 he married Phyllis Hamilton in Denison, Iowa. She survives.
Other Survivors Include his One Son - Jeff & Pam Holland of Mansfield, Texas, Two Brothers - Arven Holland of Welcome, Minnesota, Jerry Holland of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Two Grandsons - Jeffrey Holland Jr. of Mansfield, Texas and Jason Holland of Mansfield, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
There will be no calling times.
Interment will be held in the Hartley Cemetery in Hartley, Iowa at a later date.
The family requests that memorials be given to the Orlin G. Holland Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
