Today's Quote

Our 10-year-old gave her sister and I a chuckle this morning on our way to school.  She told us that since the beginning of the school year, three nice new kids have joined their class.  That is great news in Wichita County since we have had a problem with a dwindling population over the past several years.  Fortunately, new business has begun moving into our county.  With it, comes more jobs and more people.

The first two students came here without being able to speak English. Our schools provide teachers and paras who will help these students learn how to speak English.  Abi told us that she is really proud of one of those students because he/she can now "speak English.  He/She just doesn't understand it as of yet."  Not really sure how you can do one without the other...

When I hear children say things such as this, it takes me back to when Art Linkletter's show, "Kids Say the Darnest Things", or as Stan thinks it should have been, Kids Say the Most Embarrassing Things About Their Parents, was available.  Many people laughed at the innocence of our youth.
