Tribune--Movie-of-the-Weekend

THE RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES will be shown again tonight, Sunday, at 8:00 CST. The synopsis, etc is included in an earlier post.

The movie that will be shown at 8:00 CST on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 7th, 8th and 9th, and again on the 14th, 15th and 16th, will be the hit movie, THE HELP. There will also be a mattinee on Monday, October 10th, at 11:00 a.m., CST.

This movie is catagorized as Drama/Adaptation and runs for 2 hours and 17 minutes. It was released on August 10th, 2011. The rating for this movie is PG-13 for thematic material. Stars include Bryce Dallas Howard, Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain, etc.

Synopsis: At the dawn of the civil rights movement, three Mississippi women are about to take one extraordinary step. 21-year-old Skeeter has just returned home after she graduated from Ole Miss and her mother won't won't be happy until she finds a husband. Aibileen, a wise African American maid and caretaker, suffers after the loss of her own child. And Minny, Aibileen's sassy best friend, struggles to find and hold a job. Seemingly as different from one another as can be, these women will nonetheless come together for a clandestine project that will put them all at risk.
