Melba Lucille Monroe--Tribune

Mrs. Monroe was born on July 17th of 1914 in Hamilton, Kansas and passed away on June 20th of 2010 at the Greeley County Health Center in Tribune. She was 95-years-old.

She graduated from the Emporia State Teachers College with a degree in Business Administration in 1936. On August 22nd of 1938, she married Earl Crawford Monroe. He passed away on March 22nd of 2006. She was a homemaker and teacher in Tribune after she moved from Lyons, Kansas in 1950.

Survivors include one daughter; Carol E. Bloesser of Tribune, one son and wife, William E. and Lee of Norris, Tennessee, one daughter-in-law, Billie Monroe, of Wichita; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Craig, a brother and 1 sister.

Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. MST on Thursday, June 23rd, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tribune.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 MDT at the church.

Memorials may be given to the St. Joseph Catholic Church in care of Price and Sons Funeral Homes.
