Earlier, I gave information on the new flower garden at the courthouse. Since then, I received more information about the grant that was acquired to help cover expenses of shrubs, etc.
Carol Crowley-Laws submitted and received a grant from the W.C.C.F. It is a not-for-profit public charity formed to serve as a vehicle to accept contributions and establish endowments to support worthy projects and causes in Wichita County.
I ASSUME that people who want to donate money to this very worthwhile foundation or who need to ask for money for another project should probably call Sharla Droste-Krenzel who is the manager of the Wichita County Economic Development Committee. Her telephone number at her office is 620-375-2182. To apply for a grant in person or to ask any questions, her office is located in the former Wichita County Sheriff's Office which is just to the west of the west entrance to the courthouse.
