Update on moisture in Wednesday's Storm

Well, as always, it seems that 101 people report on 101 different rain measurements just in Leoti alone. LOL! I wanted to let those of you who are interested with what I have heard today. People in Wichita County are saying that they received anything from .85 to 1.30. Stan works with a man from Scott City. His rainguage showed an even 2 inches.

I've also been told that Scott County people received about 5 hours worth of rain yesterday and more than 5 minutes worth of small hail. From what people have told me, none of the hail was big enough to cause any harm.

According to the weather forecast, our area has a good chance of rain during the next several days. It is sooooooooo nice to have rain again! Everything got mighty dry during the past several years of drought. This is the first time since the drought began that I can remember seeing such beautiful flowering trees! Last summer, the girls and I went to a landscaping store to purchase one or two bushes. Instead, we ended up getting the best deal ever! The manager of the store offered us a dozen or so bushes for like $32.00. We jumped at the opportunity. This moisture has done wonders for each and every one of them!
