Another Round on it's Way

A winter storm watch has been erected for Western Kansas this afternoon. It specifies that intensely cold air with the potential of several inches of snow will begin arriving sometime tomorrow (Monday) night. The weather will move out of our area on Wednesday.

So, it might not be a bad idea to make sure that your outdoor animals have plenty of fresh water and food stocked up. They'll definitely need some kind of suitable shelter also. (While you're at it, make sure that you and your family have plenty of groceries on hand just in case you can't get to the store.)

I spoke to a plumber yesterday. He told me that he has practically done nothing but thaw out waterlines ever since the cold arrived last Tuesday. Some of those lines burst causing major damages and repairs that needed to be done. Remember Folks, that simply leaving sinks and tubs dripping is NOT enough. It must be a thin STREAM of water in order to keep your waterlines working properly.

It is also a dandy idea to keep a supply of Ice Melt, etc on hand to spread on your sidewalks, porches, etc.
