Rather Amusing Tactic

While I ate my lunch yesterday, I watched the noon news on TV. A news segment was done on a gentleman who wears a "homemade" seatbelt every day whether he is in a motorized vehicle--or not. This man is in agreement with many people who believe that the government has no right to demand that we wear seatbelts if we do not want to. I have spoken with men who feel the very same way. They went to war to fight to keep our countrymen free--not for the government to tell us what we can do in situations such as this.

Don't get me wrong. They believe most laws are necessary and very acceptable. But they think that individual adults whould be responsible for deciding whether or not they need to belt up. As for me, I will always wear my seatbelt. If my head were to hit a window in a car accident, I would bleed to death in a matter of a very few minutes because of my blood thinners. I think that all children should wear their seatbelts at all times.
