I apologize for just getting this posted! Until this morning, the computer would not work...
It was a bad day to have the Spelling Bee. Though the snowstorm from the day before was gone, it was next to impossible to get a parking place close to the school without having to trip through snowdrifts. That kept a bunch of people from attending the Bee. Fortunately, all of the kids were able to be there!
In 2010, twins, Jacob and Joshua Clark, won the top two places in the Bee which was really neat. Yesterday, a brother and sister took the top two seats. They were Tayler and Karlee Seaton. They are the children of Stacy and Joann Riley-Seaton. Their grandparents are Joyce Droste-Nickelson of Marienthal and Bill and Patsy Burch-Riley of Leoti.
The State Bee will be held in Great Bend on March 12th.
