Bob Van Norden was born on September 23rd of 1925 in Marshall, Texas and passed away on Tues., May 4th, at the Wichita County Health Center in Leoti. He was 84.
He was a mamber of Leoti's United Methodist Church, served as a lay minister, was a Rotarian, served 2 terms as Leoti City Councilman and 2 terms as Mayor of Leoti from 1996-2005.
Bob married Malee Koehn in North Hollywood, California. She passed away on September 23rd of 2005.
He is survived by three sons; Stephen in Wichita, Randal in Yuma, Colorado, Rodney of Garden City and one daughter, Janelle Jones of Leoti, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
His funeral was held at 10:30 on Friday, May 7th at Christ Covenant Church in Leoti. Rev. Bob Everest officiated. His graveside services were held at 3:00 at Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church and Christ Covenant Church, both of Leoti, in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home.
