Thinkin' of trying something new.

When Duckwall's was still open for business in Leoti, a lady from Colorado was there and mentioned that instead of digging "trenches", etc to plant flower seeds, she merely picks a location in her yard, spreads peet moss over it then sprinkles flower seeds of her choice onto the moss. After that, she sprays water on it a couple to a few times a day to keep it damp continuously until plants appear. After that, she waters as often as she deems necessary. She said that it saves alot of wear and tear on her back and knees. Have any of you heard of doing anything like that? If so, does it work pretty well?

Thanks for any comments and advice!
