Earlier today, everyone who receives electrical services that originate at Garden City's Sunflower Electric Plant, was asked to use limited amounts of electricity for the day. The extreme cold that we had this week forced many of us to use more electricity than normal. Thus, it was difficult for the power plant to generate enough electricity to go around.
The good news is that our cutting back helped! The new electricity has been generated and all is well again. Crisis is over.
