Alvin E. Frank--Scott City and Garden City

(July 19, 1923 - April 12, 2011)

Alvin E. Frank, age 87, passed away at his home in Scott City, Kansas on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. He was born on July 19, 1923 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of John and Elizabeth Allen Frank. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he was a retired water well driller for Weishaar Drilling. Alvin was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II.

Memberships include the United Methodist Church of Scott City, Kansas and the VFW of Scott City, Kansas.


On December 23, 1946 he married Virginia Hill in Scott City, Kansas. She passed away on March 24, 2004 in Scott City, Kansas.


Survivors Include his Two Daughters - Linda & Gene Kelch of Garden City, Kansas and Diane Marley of Garden City, Kansas, Four Grandchildren, Six Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, and Four Brothers and Four Sisters.


Graveside Services will be held at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 with the Rev. Dennis Carter presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to the Alvin E. Frank Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.

Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday.
