Special Occasion Cakes

Now you know that our family LOVES The Cakery Bakery in Scott City! But Abigayle's birthday is this Sunday. Schedule constraints caused us not to be able to get a cake through them this time around so we did the next best thing...we ordered a cake from Wal-Mart in Garden City.

We've done this many times before and have always been quite pleased with the results! Just call 620.275.0775 and ask to be tranferred to the Bakery Department. Once your call is answered, you will be asked if you need a small cake on up to cakes that will serve 96 people. (Each piece would be cut by you into a 2" by 2" piece.) Then you will need to decide if you want a white, chocolate, yellow or marbled cake. Also, do you want butter cream frosting or whipped frosting? Wal-Mart already has various themes that you can choose from which include a free toy of their choice for the child who is celebrating the birthday or you can tell them what you want and what colors of frosting that you want on the cake. They also do wedding, anniversary, etc cakes. They're very happy to write what you want on the cake, too.

Wal-Mart requests that you give them at least a 24 hour notice before you are to pick up the cake.
