Earth Day

This year, Earth Day lands on Good Friday, April 22nd. All of us can do our fair share in helping to clean up Mother Earth today and tomorrow and the day after that and...

Here are some ideas that we can put into motion:

Reuse

1. Wash glass jars and bottles. Donate them or find a new purpose for them in your home.

2. Reuse clean aluminum foil.

3. Save your junk mail and cut it into scrap paper. Staple or clip it together and put it near telephones, computers, etc. Use it instead of brand new tablets or notebooks. This will clean up the world by lessening the amount of paper that we throw away AND it will help to save trees at the same time!

4. Check out such websites as www.craigslist.com when you are in the market for new appliances. If you have appliances, etc that you are interested in selling, place these on craigslist, etc. Far too many working appliances and furniture are discarded every single day that could find new life in someone else's home or business... Plus, you and your family can save M--O--N--E--Y!!!

5. Give clothes that you or your family have outgrown to family, friends and neighbors who can or will be able to wear soon. If you prefer, donate them to a thrift shift or some local organization.

6. Gather your friends and neighbors and have a group garage sale. What doesn't sell, donate.

Simple things such as these ideas can make B-I-G improvements in our world and in our lives. Be an example to the people closest to you. When they see what you do to help our environment, chances are that they will start doing the same things!

Thank you for doing YOUR part!!!
