We sat out yesterday morning in hopes of making the herd a much bigger area to run and play. Much had to be done including taking down the old fencing and moving it, hauling junk out from the old building to the alley, tearing down that building, etc. We had also thought that we would get around to mowing the entire yard and cleaning out flower gardens and doing some much-needed mulching. The weekend just didn't last that long.
I am very pleased with what we did finish though. Stan managed to get most of the new fencing up and in place. We still have a portion that we will try to finish after work tomorrow. He ended up having to dig several currant bushes out of an area where fencing was to go. He was very gentle with is so that Abigayle and I could replant it behind our patio in the front yard. We got that finished also.
During the next few days, I plan on doing the mowing and the clearing of the flower gardens. Maybe I'lll even get around to some mulching.
That Stan of mine is just the greatest! So far, I haven't found much that he cannot do. His father taught him a lot. He worked for a contruction business in Manhattan. After that, he worked with Daddy for many years. All of his experiences have enable to him to do just about anything and everything around the house.
