Ruby I. Eitel, age 95, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on September 16, 1915 in Sherman County, Kansas, the daughter of Clifford C. and Cora Ethel Jones Beeson. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1921 moving from Sherman County, Kansas, she was a homemaker. Ruby was an avid bowler, loved dancing and traveling.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the El Quartelejo Study Club all of Scott City, Kansas.
On January 31, 1934 she married W. Orval Eitel in Garden City, Kansas. He passed away on September 4, 1978 in Junction City, Kansas.
Survivors Include her Two Sons - Bob & Donna Eitel of Scott City, Kansas, Glenn & Marion Eitel of Dighton, Kansas, One Daughter - Darlene & Roger Kohman of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Arlene Beaton of Scott City, Kansas, Velma Mae Harness of Chandler, Arizona, Seven Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandsons, One Great Granddaughter, One Great Great Granddaughter, One Step Grandchild, Five Step Great Grandchildren and Five Step Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Son – Jack O. Eitel, One Grandson – Daryl W. Duff, Five Brothers and One Sister.
Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 with the Rev. Dennis Carter presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Park On The Plains, Scott County Hospital or Park Lane Nursing Home % of Price & Son Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friday.
