Susie Oberheim--Garden City and Leoti

Susie Oberheim
(June 13, 1932 - December 23, 2010)

Susie Oberheim, age 78, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Homestead Health & Rehabilitation Center in Garden City, Kansas. She was born June 13, 1932 in Stamford, Texas the daughter of J.C. and Connie Pearl Conder Owens. A resident of Garden City since 1969 moving from Leoti, Kansas she had worked with the Meals-On-Wheels program for several years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Godmothers, the Builders Sunday School Class and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program at the Finney County Senior Center all of Garden City, Kansas and she was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge.

On July 22, 1951 she married J.P. Oberheim in Leoti, Kansas. He died May 23, 1990 in Garden City, Kansas..

Survivors Include: One Daughter, Crystal Dailey of Kearney, Nebraska; Three Sons, Rex Oberheim of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Lee Oberheim of Garden City, Kansas, Rod Oberheim of Holcomb, Kansas and Seven Grandchildren, Two Step-Grandchildren, and One Great-Grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James & Spohn Owens.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas with the Rev. David Bell presiding.

Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.

There will be no public calling times at the funeral home.

The family requests memorials be given to the Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
