My mother has always instilled this simple belief in my two sisters and me. She thoroughly believes that "One man's trash is another man's treasure." I, too, believe that.
Last Saturday, Stan, the girls and I went to the flea market in Colorado Springs. Amongst the many "treasures" waiting there, a man offered to sell us MANY ceramic tiles and bullnose pieces for just $20.00. This, of course, was an outstanding price. Given the fact that the tiles were biscue-colored (a shade between white and cream), we knew that we simply could not pass this deal up.
So, soon, Stan and I will be ripping out the original AVOCADO-colored bathtub and shower surround out of our master bathroom. After that, Stan will be installing the shower floor and concrete backboard so that we can put some of the new tiles in place. Ever since we bought our home, Stan has wanted to replace that bathtub with a shower built for two. Stan will also be putting in a built-in bench for us lady folk who will enjoy shaving in the new shower.
So, anyway, between this project and the flooring work that we have been doing, there is no time left over for boredom. LOL!!!
