Mary Jane Ryan--Scott City

(October 31, 1947 - March 15, 2011)


Mary Jane Ryan, age 63, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on October 31, 1947 in Finney County, Kansas the daughter of Paul and Dora Scoville Ryan. Mary was a lifetime resident of Scott City and had been a secretary for Beef Belt Feeders of Scott County, Kansas.

She was a member of and a Sunday school teacher for the First Christian Church of Scott City, KS.

Survivors Include: One Brother, Dean Ryan of Kismet, Kansas; Five Sisters, Betty Lou Dunlap of Caballo, New Mexico, Peggy VanWey of Beloit, Kansas, Karen Ryan of Scott City, Kansas, Dorin Penka of Healy, Kansas and Nancy Witt of Caballo, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Paul Edwin Ryan.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday March 19, 2011 at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas.

Burial will be in the Prairie View Church Cemetery in Friend, Kansas.

Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm Friday and from 10:00am until service time Saturday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.

The family requests memorials be given to the Mary Jane Ryan Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
