Recently, we discovered that we had had a small water leak from pipes that deliver water to our main bathroom's soaking tub. By the time that we discovered it, much irrepairable damage had been done to the bathroom's floor. A large "bubble" in the floor has developed and a small portion of the floor has practically opened up. Fortunately, months ago, Stan had requested all of Spring Vacation off so that our family could be together. It is a good thing that he had the foresight to do that. This project of tearing out the stool, bathroom sink vanity and soaking tub is going to take quite a bit of time. After that, we have to remove the flooring that is there now before we can replace it with the new. Once the new flooring is in place, we are going to be laying a practically brand new product named Allure over the floor. It goes in quickly. But all in all, we are expecting that this major renovation will last for at least 3 or 4 days. I am just sooo thankful that my Danley has the skills and the necessary tools to do the remodelling work that we so enjoy doing! Paying for carpenters and plumbers would be very expensive on a project such as this.
So, anyway, I just got off of the phone from City Hall to find out when Spring Clean-Up Week is scheduled. At this time, that is being discussed. I also asked her if they would want us to put our rubbage in the alley or out on our property by the street. As you'll remember, the city superintendant who we had last year, wanted it to be placed by the street. People such as our family did not like that idea.
The City's new superintendant, Curtis Kreutzer, begins his duties on Monday, March 14th. I am sure that he will have much input on when and where the pick-up will be tackled. The City's office personel will be calling me to let me know what I need to know on this event. Once I know, I will post it here. And as always, a flyer will be sent to all Leoti residents with the same information closer to Spring Clean-Up Week.
By the way, I would like to congratulate Mr. Kreutzer for his new position! I am positive that he will be great with his new duties!
