Anna Gassert Eikelberger Stewart, age 92, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at her home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on January 7, 1919 in Washington, Kansas the daughter of Roy and Anna Stolzer Gassert. Anna was a homemaker and had been a resident of Scott City since 1956.
She was a member of United Methodist Church, the Homemakers EHU and the Busy Womens Club all of Scott City, Kansas.
On June 3, 1956 she married Harry Eikelberger in Washington, Kansas. He died November 27, 1993. Then on February 3, 2001 she married Darwin Stewart in Scott City, Kansas. He died March 6, 2004.
Survivors Include: One Son, Jerry Eikelberger of Scott City, Kansas; One Daughter, Mary Zimbelman of Scott City, Kansas; One Sister, Neva Gruver of Scott City, Kansas; Three Step-Daughters, LeeMae Brand of Healy, Kansas, Peggy Moore of Hays, Kansas and Patty Rufener of Beloit, Kansas and Four Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, two infant sisters, one brother and an older sister.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas with Rev. Dennis Carter presiding.
Burial will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm Saturday and 1:00-8:00pm Sunday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
The family requests memorials be given to St. Catherine Hospice in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
