Marguerite Mary Zellner--Marienthal and Leoti

October 17, 1921--March 23, 2011

Marguerite Mary Zellner, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Wichita County Long Term Care Center in Leoti, Kansas. Marguerite was born October 17, 1921 at Marienthal, Kansas, the daughter of Anthony & Cecilia Baier Baker. A lifetime resident of the Marienthal, Kansas area, she was a farm wife and homemaker.

Marguerite was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Mary Alter Society, both of Marienthal, Kansas.

On December 30, 1943 she married Louis Michael Zellner at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Pilot Point, Texas. Louis passed away on July 30, 2004 in Leoti, Kansas.

Marguerite’s surviving family includes- Four sons- Pat Zellner- Marienthal, Kansas Tom Zellner and his wife Theresa- Hugoton, Kansas Louis Zellner, Jr. and his wife Patricia- Hugoton, Kansas Marshall Zellner and his wife Sheri- Leoti, Kansas Two daughters- Charlotte Ridder and her husband Dan- Leoti, Kansas Margie Caspers and her husband Larry- Hays, Kansas Three brothers- Louis Baker- Marian, Kansas Joe Baker- Haddam, Kansas Bernard Baker- Colby, Kansas Four sisters- Mary Ann Winter- Marienthal, Kansas Celine Wimmer- Marienthal, Kansas Imelda Smith- Marienthal, Kansas Inella Scheffe- Marienthal, Kansas Fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A son, William Zellner, preceded her in death.

Vigil services will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, March 25, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, March 26, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas with Fathers Ben Martin officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Marienthal, Kansas.

Friends may call from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to St. Mary Catholic Church or Wichita County Long Term Care Center in care of the funeral home.
