Daylight Savings Time

Every Spring and every Fall, the clocks across most of the United States change from Standard Time to Daylight Savings Time and visa versa.

In 2011, Daylight Savings Time will begin at 2:00 a.m. local time, tomorrow morning, March 13th. (If you prefer to set your clocks forward at bedtime tonight, that is fine too. LOL!!!) Just remember that the clocks need to be pushed FORWARD 1 hour! This time increase allows extra hours for people who work outdoors such as farmers to have more daylight to do what they need to get done. This time change will last until the first Sunday of November, November 6th.

A bit of good advice that we should all take is to throw away our batteries in our smoke alarms, etc at home and at work this weekend and replace them with new batteries. Then those batteries will need to be discarded on November 6th.

Don't forget to spring your clocks (and watches) 1 hour ahead this weekend either late tonight or early tomorrow morning or you'll be late for everything tomorrow!
