National Clean Out Your Drawers Month

Heather Fisher sent this to me today. I want to pass it on to all of you. Most of us are nowhere near NYC but most of us have Goodwills, Salvation Armies or local thrift shops where donations of clean clothing that is in good repair can be made. Please donate to one of them near you. Thank you, HF!!!

Hi,
March is National Clean Out Your Drawers Month, inspiring a kick start to spring cleaning (and the ability to ignite good karma!). That shirt collecting dust in the back of your closet, or those pants that you’ve shed too many pounds for, are the perfect place to start. And, while you’re cleaning out your drawers, you can cross “accomplish a good deed” off your list too by donating the clothes to a non-profit such as Bottomless Closet NYC. Take it from Bethenny Frankel who told Life & Style, “You keep things in your closet that you don’t need. Give them away to someone who can wear them.”

Bottomless Closet NYC, a non-profit organization appreciates gracious donations to help outfit clients for interviews and jobs. The local philanthropy helps disadvantaged New York City women become self-sufficient through a comprehensive program that begins with business attire and interview preparation and continues with professional development, financial management and personal enrichment. Make a simple contribution by taking the first step of dressing these women to enhance their self-esteem and self-confidence to improve the quality of their lives. Just be sure to keep in mind the donation guidelines of the charity you’re giving to. Non-profits like Bottomless Closet NYC don’t have a use for jeans and gym shoes!

Please let me know if you would like additional information on Bottomless Closet NYC and we would be happy to accommodate your request.

Best,
Heather
