As we all know by now, a devastating earthquake and the tsunami that followed it, have done horrible damage to the people of Japan. Now, the people are facing increasing numbers of radiation all around them. Back here at home, life is good for most of us and life has gone on almost as if we had never heard the devastating reports from Japan. But, the Japanese people still need any and all help that we can offer. As a matter of fact, they probably need even more than they did in the very beginning. Many people are still displaced and receiving just the bare minimal necessity of food, water, etc. If you agree with me, please go deeper into my blog and look over the organizations, etc that you can donate money to help these unfortunate people.
In case you are like me and tend to bury your head in the sand versus watching the news on TV that seems to spread doom and gloom to everyone, Japanese officials are doing their best to stop the radiation levels that continue to climb. As of this morning, their radiation levels have EXCEEDED the safe amounts of radiation by 3,000 times!!! One thing that they are considering is placing a cloth-like tent over the damaged radiation plants that would keep the radiation inside the material. Hopefully. whatever they decide will take care of these major leaks.
Back here in the U.S., there is little that we can do to help except to send monetary donations or, most importantly, send up our prayers.
The thing that we all should realize is that these problems are not going to disappear overnight. Recovery of their normal everyday lives is going to take seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years to attain.
In God we trust.
