Pruning

Now is the time to prune shade trees, summer-flowering trees and summer-flowering shrubs before they start growing and while they're still dormant and have not leafed out yet. This is the best time to remove crossing branches and dead growth.

Do NOT prune Forsythia, Quinces and Saucer Magnolia until immediately after they have bloomed.
